Obsession

Bear is a shy young man working at a music store alongside Nikki, his childhood friend and longtime secret crush. Unable to tell her how he feels — and convinced she will never love him in the same way — he comes across a mysterious object known as the One Wish Willow, which promises to grant a single wish. Bear uses it to wish that Nikki would love him more than anyone else in the world.
The wish comes true, but in a way Bear could never have imagined. Nikki's affection rapidly transforms into an overwhelming and increasingly dangerous obsession. Her need to be near him becomes suffocating, her behavior grows unpredictable, and Bear begins to realize that getting exactly what he wanted may have created a nightmare he cannot escape. As he desperately searches for a way to undo the wish, the consequences become darker, stranger and increasingly violent.
With Obsession, writer-director Curry Barker turns unrequited love and romantic fantasy into a twisted supernatural nightmare about desire, control and the consequences of trying to force another person to love you. Blending horror, dark comedy and a warped version of romantic storytelling, the film explores the unsettling line between devotion and obsession.
